Liberal Party: Attacks against VP Leni are diversionary tactics

The Liberal Party (LP) recently said that the attacks made against Vice President Leonor “Leni” Robredo and former Tourism Secretary Mon Jimenez were tactics employed by the opposition in order to divert the public’s attention away from other more important critical issues that the administration is facing.

Inililihis nila ang atensyon ng sambayanan mula sa mga dapat na sagutin ng mga nasa kapangyarihan: ang nakakabahalang pangitain na mawalan ng trabaho ang mahigit 260,000 na mga OFW natin sa Kuwait,” it said in statements made LP President and Senator Francis Pangilinan.

Robredo is currently in tension with the media over the “fake news” of the outcome of the recount of the VP votes done by the Presidential Election Tribunal.

On the other hand, Jimenez, President Benigno Aquino III’s tourism chief was accused of graft and corruption over the P1 billion ad campaign that is accused to have not gone through bidding process.

Amidst this, Pangilinan insists that the Duterte administration should focus on the issues involving the country and its people.

Pangilinan asked.
